Tyler Crow is the first to point out that the discovery and honing of his craft could be credited to a long list of individuals who took an early interest in his talent and subsequent career, not the least of which is the good Lord himself.
As a young man growing up between the farmland and foothills of Apache, Oklahoma, Tyler began finding his calling in art and, with time, began scratching out his own style. He continues a lifelong commitment to improve and grow in his artwork.
Taking his art from a talent to a trade may have taken time and a mindset to do so, but Tyler found his subject matter before he ever picked up a brush. Cowboy culture and Western heritage were etched on Tyler’s youth, and he has committed his career as an artist to preserving the Western way of life and the lives of the contemporary cowboys who live it every day. “I feel blessed to do something I love,” he said, “and to paint the American cowboy.”
In 2016, Tyler joined the CAA at age 27, becoming the youngest artist to be inducted into the prestigious group. He resides in Hico, Texas, with his wife, Katie and their son.
